playing hooky

A friend of mine wanted a big painting for a new house he had just bought. He had high ceilings and not much to cover them, so I did this one for him. I've always been a little rebellious against "meaningful art" since a professor at SCAD told me art could only be great if it had meaning. So I wanted to do a piece that was completely stupid and meaningless and this is what I came up with, an alien eating an ice cream cone while riding on the back of a dog. Stupid and meaningless enough? - bb
