Welcome... to THUNDERDOME

I've got a few scraps of MDF taking up space in my laundryroom and every once in a while I find a use for one of them, hence this sign.

A couple of weeks ago I was leaving a little shindig some friends of mine had, and one of them asked if I had given my house a nickname. I hadn't, but that didn't stop me from blurting out, "Yeah, I call it THUNDERDOME!" On the drive home that night I kept thinking about Tina Turner in the Mad Max movie saying that line and it made me smile. So I figured I'd make a little sign to put over my back door. Just a fun little thing. Painted with acrylic, antiqued with the grounds from this morning's coffee, and sealed with spray laquer. Wheee!
